Can I edit bets mid-round?

Yes. As host, open the round's Betting tab and tap "Edit bets". You can change which holes a bet covers, adjust the stake, or remove a bet entirely.

Warning: removing a bet deletes its claims and projected payouts. Adjusting holes for an in-progress bet is fine and recalculates instantly.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes. Golf with Mates is free to use for tracking rounds, scoring, and settling friendly bets with your group.

How does Stableford scoring work?

You earn points per hole based on your net score relative to par: bogey = 1, par = 2, birdie = 3, eagle = 4. Highest total wins.

What is a Skins game?

Each hole is worth a "skin." The lowest net score on a hole wins the skin. Ties carry the skin to the next hole.

How are bets settled?

Set the stake when you create the round. After the final hole, the app shows a settlement summary of who owes who, ready to pay in person or by your favorite payment app.
